area, consider other colors... When I was looking for mine, I just made it a hobby. I ended up spending an hour a day, 7 days a week, for 6 months searching nationwide every internet site and a couple dozen newspapers' classifieds. I was looking for a TT with <20k miles. 1 or 2 prospects popped up every month. So you might consider adopting this degree of search breadth and fanaticism. But the long distance deal can be tricky to close. When you want to be sure you're buying an excellent quality car, and that car is highly sought after, you are at a disadvantage compared to locals who can get everything done faster. But it can be done. I did it and many others here have done so as well. IMO, with 12k to spend, finding a car that most would regard as 'mint' will be difficult. At that price level, you'll usually be considering cars with 60 to 70,000 miles and the wear that comes with it. However, one of the cool things about the Z32 is that it is cherished by many of its owners and, therefore, exceptional specimens are still out there at different price levels. With persistence, a broad based search and a bit of flexibility on what you require, I think you can find a car that will satisfied you
